Funeral
services for Johnny Washington will be at 11:00 am,
Saturday, Oct. 10, 2009 in Second Union Baptist Church
with Rev, Christopher Ardoin officiating. Burial will be
in the church cemetery under the direction of Melancon
Funeral Home, Bunkie. Mr. Washington, age 65, of Bunkie,
passed away on Friday, Oct. 2, 2009 at the Ville Platte
medical Center. He was a city employee for the City of
Bunkie. Survivors include his wife, Etta Keller
Washington of Bunkie; three sons, Johnny Washington, Jr.
of Minnesota, Ronald Wayne Washington of Palm Springs,
CA and Jonathan Washington of Bunkie; two daughters,
Venisha W. Hayes of Bunkie and Latoya Washington of
Bunkie; two sisters, Brenda Callegari of Bunkie and
Sharon Callegari of Pineville; three step-brothers and
nine grandchildren. Visitation will be at the Second
Union Baptist Church from 9 am until service time on
Saturday, Oct. 10, 2009.
