"Hi Dale -
Hope you and your family are enjoying the magnificent magic of Spring!
It seems to me that everything that is important in life is
re-emphasized with the arrival of Spring. It's called the magic world of
nature. Anyway, Dale - the attached article came out in the Bunkie
Record and Marksville Weekly several weeks ago. It is about what
happened a long time ago very near Bunkie. You may, if you wish, include
it in your magnificent Bunkie Website. What you have done over the years
is truly amazing. Always a pleasure, Jerry LaFleur "
Jerry LaFleur has put pen to paper again as
he delves deep into Louisiana history. Jim Bowie - spent most of
his life in Louisiana.
Jerry's writings are a must read... I
like Jerry because I like a good pat on the back every now and then.
Personal Footnote: I
met Jerry and his beautiful bride, Silvia, once at the 50's reunion in
2004. Although we have not seen each other since, we continue to
keep the Emails flowing. I hope, I know you will enjoy his
writings...
