I was digging around and found a copy of the Bunkie Record  August 17, 1945 that my mother had saved.

It includes an article about the "Holly Street Boys"  six men who died in WW2 all having lived on Holly Street.

A seventh was added during the Korean war when Buddy Garcia, son of then mayor Leonard Garcia, was killed.  They lived on Holly near the intersection of Oak St.

I will attach this as a JPG file to this note. This seemed to be the best way to copy it.
